Step 1
Apple Waffles are very tasty and they are perfect for a Sunday Brunch. You will need 4 Macintosh Apples, 1 cup applesauce, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ¼ cup oil, water, milk. Basically, I do use a premixed pancake and waffle mix but I do add some of my own ingredients for a better taste. I use the store brand pancake mix, I add milk instead of water, and I do add about ¼ of oil to the mix. In addition, I add the vanilla extract for a richer taste. In addition I add the applesauce and 4 Macintosh apples completely peeled and seeded to the mix. You can chop apples up into small pieces.

Step 2
After preparing the waffle mix, pre-heat the waffle iron about 3 minutes before placing mix on iron. Cook waffles for about 3-4 minutes each side. Remove waffles and place on serving dish. I normally use a pure maple syrup for special Sunday Brunches.

Step 3
You can garnish the finished waffles with more of the apples that you previously prepared as well as a few raspberries. I always smother my waffles in rich butter and syrup for a super taste. Enjoy!!
