Things You'll Need:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 packages softened cream cheese
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 container whipped topping
- 2 packages raspberry jell-o mix
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups cold water
-
Step 1
Most of us love jell-o. So why not use it in a dessert. It gives the dessert great color. You will need a large bowl to start. In the large bowl you will combine the flour, brown sugar, butter, and the finely chopped pecans. Once this is combined you will need a 13 inch by 9 inch by 2 inch baking dish.
-
Step 2
You will press your crust mixture to the bottom of your baking dish. Once you have the crust on the bottom of the dish you will need to bake it at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. You will need to let this cool completely. In another large mixing bowl you will beat the cream cheese and sugar until the mixture is smooth.
-
Step 3
Then you will fold in the whipped topping. Spread this filling over the crust. Then you will need to cover and refrigerate for one hour. Then while this cools you will need to boil your 2 cups of water. Add this and the 2 cups of cold water to a large bowl and stir in the raspberry jell-o mix. Let this dissolve and when the hour is up remove the dessert from the refrigerator and pour the jell-o mixture over he top. Place back in the refrigerator until the jell-o is firm. Then cut into squares and enjoy.
