You can grow vegetables in your garden even if you don't have a special place for a vegetable garden. You can also grow them on a patio or even on a balcony. Make climbers into divider or ornamental walls by setting up a decorative trellis and growing peas, climbing beans, melons, cucumbers and even heavy vines like trailing squashes and gourds over them. Most of these plants have decorative flowers. Make sure supports can hand the weight of fruiting vines and feed the plants lightly on a bi-weekly basis.

By growing vegetables in pots you can control the soil and water, but you have to remember to water regularly. You can use a drip system on a timer to make sure you don't forget.
