Luckily, all cell phone services offer call forwarding these days. It's even easier to access call forwarding with smartphones, since you don't have a code to remember. Learn how to forward calls with AT&T using both a smartphone and a traditional cell phone.

Instructions

  1. Smartphones

    • 1

      Select "Settings" on your smartphone's menu. Scroll down until you come to "Call Settings."

      Scroll down and select "Forwarding." Then, choose the forwarding option you want, such as "Forward All Calls."

      Following the prompts on your smartphone, enter the 10-digit phone number (including area code) where you would like your calls forwarded. Select "OK."

    Traditional Cell Phones

      Dial the correct call forwarding code. For most AT&T cell phones, it will be **21*.

      Dial the 10-digit phone number (including area code) where calls are to be forwarded. Press the # key.

    • 6

      Press "Send." Listen for the confirmation message that call forwarding has been successfully enabled.

Tips & Warnings

  • To deactivate call forwarding, press #21# and press "Send."
