How to Store Lupron

Lupron, also called Leuprolide, can be used to treat the following conditions: anemia caused by bleeding in the uterus; prostate cancer; early puberty in boys and girls; and pain caused by endometriosis. Leuprolide is similar to a hormone created in the hypothalamus gland. In men and boys, Lupron causes a decrease in the testosterone level, which is a common treatment for prostate cancer.
