Instructions

  1. How to Remove Nail Glue from Nails

    • 1

      Remove all false nails.

    • 2

Take a soft nail file and gently file the nail glue. This will help to reduce the larger portions that have been left behind on your nail bed.

    • 3

Fill the soaking bowl with warm water and soap. Soak each hand for three to five minutes. This will soften the nail bed as well as the glue.

    • 4

Peel off any pieces of glue that are starting to lift. Check the glue spots for cracks or lifting edges, which will make them easier to remove.

    • 5

Soak a cotton ball or cotton round in acetone nail-polish remover (or glue remover, if you have it). Dab over the glued area. The acetone will start to remove the glue.

    • 6

Repeat the above process until all glue has been removed.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your skin becomes irritated, give your hands a break and repeat the process the next day.

  • When using a nail file on the nail bed, be careful and go lightly. You don't want to make your nail bed too thin. Make sure your soaking dish is glass; acetone will melt plastic. If you have polish on your nails, acetone will remove it. Be careful if you have any cuts on your hands; acetone stings.
