Things You'll Need:
- Rustoleum paint 600-grit sandpaper Newspaper Masking tape Clean rag Jack with jack stands Tire wrench Torque wrench

Step 1
Loosen the lug nuts on all wheels by turning the tire wrench a quarter turn on each nut.

Jack the vehicle off the ground using the jack points in the front of the vehicle. They will normally be an extension of the frame or the frame itself.

Place the jack stands under the frame of the vehicle in the front or under the front pinch welds, and lower the vehicle onto the jack stands.

Jack the vehicle up under the rear jack point near the trunk. Place jack stands on either side of the vehicle under the frame or rear pinch welds, and lower the vehicle onto the jack stands.

Finish loosening and remove all wheels.

Tape off the tire using newspaper and masking tape. Make sure you cover any area you don't want painted (i.e., the tire and valve stem).

Sand the rim with sandpaper to rough up the surface of the rim and remove any powder coating or existing finish on the rim.

Clean the rim with a clean rag.

Step 9
Spray an even coat of paint over the rim and let it sit for 15 minutes, then spray a second coat. Repeat this process until you have the desired coverage.

Step 10
Remove the taped areas and reinstall the tires.

Torque the lug nuts to 100 foot-pounds with the torque wrench.
