How to Program Flash
With the Adobe Flash application, which is part of the Adobe Creative Suite collection of applications, you can design interactive websites with animations, images and hyperlinks. In addition, Flash includes a programming tool that allows you to further customize your designs. To program in Flash, you must have a general knowledge of the Activescript programming language.
Things You'll Need
- PC running Windows XP or later or Mac running OS X 10.4 or later
- Adobe Flash CS3 or CS4

Launch the Adobe Flash application by clicking on the "Start" menu icon on a PC or the "Dock" icon on a Mac.

Click on the "Flash File (Actionscript 3.0)" option under the "Create New" section of the Welcome menu.

Use the toolbar on the left side of the page to add an object to use as part of your programming. Then click anywhere on the object to select it.

Go to "Window" in the top menu bar and choose "Actions."

Type any desired Actionscript programming code into the open text window.

Click on the plus symbol and choose an Actionscript command to add to your programming code.

Close the "Actions" window to save the Actionscript code.
