Pets, moving and just general wear and tear can lead to scratches in the furniture. If you find that you do have a scratch in your leather furniture, all is not lost.   • Olive oil 2 small hand towels Shoe polish that matches the leather furniture

      Apply a dime sized amount of olive oil to one of your small hand towels.

      Rub the olive oil over the scratch using a gentle, circular motion.

      Wipe away any excess oil with the clean end of your hand towel.

      Apply a dime sized amount of shoe polish to your second hand towel.

      Rub the polish into the remaining portion of the scratch. Use a circular motion and continue to rub until the scratch is gone.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use only a little bit of olive oil at a time. It is better to have to reapply than to make an unnecessary mess. You may not need to go over the scratch with the colored shoe polish. Only do this step if the olive oil did not remove the scratch entirety. Test the shoe color in a small inconspicuous spot to make sure that it will match with the leather evenly.

  • If you use a shoe polish that does not match the color of your leather furniture, you will not end up with the look that you desire.
