How to Remove Gum from Upholstery
Gum is one of those things that can easily get all over everything and make a huge mess; especially when kids are involved. It seems sometimes that even trying to scrape the gum away can make a bigger mess, as though the initial mess wasn't bad enough. With a little know-how and the right materials, gum can be removed much easier. It's still not a pleasant or easy task, but with a little tenacity it can be accomplished. Does this Spark an idea?

Hold a can of compressed air over the gum and spray until the gum freezes.

Scrape the gum off of the upholstery with a scraper or butter knife. The gum will break into hardened pieces and come up much easier.

Sweep away or vacuum up all of the little pieces of gum.

Use a clean cloth dipped in warm soapy water to wash away any residual gum or stains.

Place a fan nearby to help circulate air over the dampened area to help it dry faster.

Wear gloves and glasses when handling compressed air; make sure it does not make contact with your skin.
