Step 1
This can be a simple easy dip for those pita chips, or it can be a side dish to place on a plate of roasted chicken.
Ingredients are simple:
A can of premixed hummus or a can of chick peas
Garlic powder to taste
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Half cup of chicken broth from can or from chicken roasting in oven.
Lemon juice to taste
Tahini 2 TBSP
The term "to taste" is for you to decide how much you need. -
Step 2
If you have chose to use the premixed hummus, please follow these directions:
Place the hummus in a large bowl.
Add all of the ingredients
Mix well (hand mixer works best)
Refrigerate to settle ingredients.
Serve and enjoy.. -
Step 3
If you have chose to use the can of chick peas, please follow these direction:
Open the can of chick peas (drain) and place it into a sauce pan.
Place all of the ingredients into sauce pan.
Let it come to a medium boil.
Stir well, and remove from heat.
While peas are still warm place everything into a food processor
pulse until no more lumps and hummus is smooth.
Add extra salt, pepper, garlic, lemon juice if desired
Place in refrigerator to chill
Serve and enjoy..
