How to Upload Facebook Photos

Facebook claims over 800 million active users. Both individuals and businesses use the site to keep their friends, family members and clients informed. Updating a Facebook account with photos is central to the process. Photos can be uploaded one at a time in the Update Status section at the top of your profile or page. You can create an entire photo album in the same area or from the profile photo page.

      Log in to your Facebook account. Click "Add Photo" at the top of the page in the Update Status area.

      Select "Upload Photo / Video" to upload an individual photo. Select "Use Webcam" to take a photo with your webcam and upload it. Select "Create Photo Album" to upload multiple photos into a new album.

      Click "Upload Photo / Video." Type in an optional comment about a photo. Click the "Choose File" button. Locate the photo on your computer. Highlight it and click "Choose." Enter optional information about the photo using the buttons in the lower left corner of the Status area including the location and the names of individuals in the photo. Select an audience using the audience selector on the right side. Click "Post" to post the photo to your wall and add it to your photos.

      Tap on "Create Photo Album" after selecting "Upload Photo / Video" in the same section to upload a new photo album, rather than a single photo. Click the "Select Photos" button. Select multiple photos from your computer while holding down the "Command" key. Click "Open" to load the photos.

      Give the album a name and wait while the photos upload to Facebook. You can also upload a new album by going to your profile and clicking "Photos" in the left column followed by the "Upload Photos" button. In the same section, you can click on an album, add captions, tag people, select a profile picture and write comments about the photos.
