How to Reduce Foot Sweat
Foot sweat can turn into a big problem if you let it go and do nothing to slow it down. A couple of those problems could be toenail fungus or athlete's foot. Then you could lose a toenail. Say what! That's right, you can lose a toenail or more than one when you have fungal infection. Does this Spark an idea?

Foot sweat is annoying and uncomfortable. We all know this, since at one time or another we have had sweaty feet. However, it can go way beyond this and become a serious problem as stated above. I know first hand, because I've had toenail fungus and athlete's foot. I came really close to losing a toenail, so no more taking chances for me.
Now, I pay close attention to my feet and know how to keep sweat at a minimum. I do not want another fungal infection on my feet and trust me neither do you. It's not hard to keep foot sweat at bay it just requires a little effort on your part.

If you don't have quality shoes you're feet will sweat more. You need shoes that allow feet to breathe. Yes, they cost more, but it's one of the things you need to do along with wearing quality absorbent socks. NO cheap or cute nylon socks! They may look sweet, but they're sweat factories.
Additionally, before you put shoes on wash feet with anti bacterial soap and dry them thoroughly; between toes too. Then cover the bottom of feet with Johnson & Johnson baby powder with vitamin E and aloe. This stuff works great and if you have kids then you can use it on them too.

It's also a good idea to alternate shoes whenever possible. When feet sweat they get the inside of the shoe wet and it may take a day for them to completely dry out. You may not be able to feel the moisture either, so don't count on feeling it. Further, if you want to avoid foot sweat don't wear tight shoes.
Insoles are another tool to combat sweaty feet. The most important thing about insoles is making sure you change them when needed. For women I recommend Summer Soles they're great for sandals if you're tired of having squishy feet.

So far, we've only talked about physical things that will keep foot sweat under control. However, there are emotional things that can cause you to sweat more such as stress or anxiety. Therefore, if you want to sweat less you need to find ways to remain calm and relax.
Only you know what will work to reduce stress in your life. The way one person handles stress may not work for another we're all wired differently. We also need to pay attention to what we eat and drink. Spicy foods and caffeine come to mind as a couple of triggers that can make you sweat.
Lastly, try to go without shoes whenever you can slip shoes off under the desk at work, in the car or bathroom and soon as you get home.
