Step 1
Make peanut butter sandwiches on whole grain bread. Using a large cookie cutter, cut the sandwiches into fun shapes. This removes the crust in one cut and makes the sandwiches more "fun". Choose a cookie cutter that does not have much detail, such as a star, heart or tree.
-
Step 2
Bananas, apples and oranges are always great and very portable. If you would like to slice the apples, dip in lemon juice or orange juice to prevent browning.
-
Step 3
Low sugar granola bars and natural fruit leather are healthy options. Another great treat is trail mix containing dried fruits, nuts and pretzels. A tablespoon of peanut butter in a reusable plastic container is a delicious dip for pretzel sticks.
-
Step 4
Cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks and celery sticks with single serve low fat ranch dressing are always a big hit. Everything goes down easier with Ranch dressing! I use small reusable plastic containers for the dressing. It is much more economical than buying pre-packaged individual servings of dressing.

Step 5
Water is always the best choice of beverage. Other healthy options include 100% Juice boxes or milk. Remember to pack a small cooler to keep refrigerated items fresh and appetizing.
