How to Easily Create a Page for your Business on Facebook

Facebook makes the creation of a page dedicated to a business an easy-to-follow succession of steps. Each click of the mouse results in an uncomplicated template that guides the user through that section of the process. Built-in safeguards trigger messages that indicate an error and prevent the user from proceeding to the next step without correcting the mistake or providing required but missing information.

Instructions

1. Visit facebook.com. Click on "Create a page for a celebrity, band or business," near the bottom of the right-hand side of the page, beneath the "Sign Up" template.

2. Click the icon for the general type of business that is most appropriate. Options, as of the date of publication, are "Local Business or Place"; "Company, Organization, or Institution "; and "Brand or Product." Complete the resulting template, read the "Facebook Pages Terms," place a check in the box to indicate you have done so, and click "Get Started."

3. Identify your the specific type of business by selecting it from the drop-down menu. Enter your own description if your business type is not listed.

4. Provide all requested information, place a check in the box beside "I am authorized to create this Page" and fill in the electronic signature.

5. Click the "Create Page" button and log in to your existing Facebook account or create a new account.
