Step 1
Do not repeat your keywords over, and over and over and over again. Some writers use the same word (i.e. dog, dog, dog, dog breeds, dog, dog food dog) in their tags at the bottom of the page. They include them by placing them in visible HTML as well as in invisible layers of their article. This can cause problems for you in your search engine placement.
-
Step 2
Change your title only when it is necessary. Frequent title changes do not make your article new. Only change the title of your article if it is necessary, not to mislead the bots.
-
Step 3
Avoid jamming keywords. Some authors write their words in tiny text. This spam technique, called "tiny text" is an attempt to manipulate search engine results and should not be done.
-
Step 4
Avoid cloaking and page swapping. This technique shows the search engines one page, and when it is rated and placed, the articles are replaced with different material. This is often done by copying material from a high-traffic page to steal the traffic. Once the page is placed, they put their own material there.
-
Step 5
Use only appropriate links. Avoid using links that are irrelevant to your article. If you read my article, "How to Maximize Keywords," (link below) you'll know that links can be used by the search engines to determine the placement of your article or web page. It is dishonest to use links that do not apply to your pate so don't do it!
-
Step 6
Don't get caught duplicating content. You may get an advance in the rankings if you slightly revise a page and list in on another site, but if the search engines get wise to you, you can be penalized. Don't take the chance. Write something fresh!
Study keyword spamming techniques and then, leave the Spam in the can. If you write quality articles and promote them in acceptable ways, your online articles will earn money for you.
