Step 1
Set up an account and order your wholesale products from the company you signed up with. Some product distributors will recommend you keep products on hand to send to your customers as orders are placed. Some companies will send the products for you after you call in or e-mail the company your order.
-
Step 2
Set up a website. If you sign up with a long-standing company, they usually provide a personal website for their sellers (see Resources). If you set up your own site, choose a domain name that best described the products you are selling.
-
Step 3
Put a link to your personal beauty products website on your blogs and public forums, such as MySpace and Facebook. Advertise your website URL on business cards and car magnets. Make sure your customers know your website address so they can place orders online.
-
Step 4
Submit your beauty products website or ebay auction pages to all the search engines. Add the URL to online directories in the health and beauty sections. You can also sell your beauty products on Amazon, uBid or WeBidz. If you choose to sell your products on Amazon or an auction website, be sure to include a photo of the product to avoid any confusion after the product is sent and received.
-
Step 5
Place a company-approved ad in your local print newspaper, or your "New to the Neighborhood" magazine. If you are selling wholesale for a beauty products distributor such as Mary Kay or Avon, they require that you use only approved advertisements. Make sure your web site address and your email address are included in the ad for easy online ordering. As customers order products, add their name to your customer database for future advertising leads.
