As much as we do not want to believe it, it is true. Michael Jackson left this world June 25, 2009 at the age of 50. This may have left you sad and bewildered. However, as you sift through your memories, you may realize healthy ways to remember and celebrate the life of Michael Jackson and his music. You may be surprised at the network of friends who share your loss even if it is not apparent at first.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Grab your Michael Jackson CDs, DVDs, tapes, and even your VHS videos and play them. This will help you remember how much talent Michael Jackson had and how privileged we were that we shared it with him.

  2. Step 2

    Believe the best of Michael Jackson if possible. There were many rumors and accusations about how he treated others. In spite of this, many will miss him, including his children.

  3. Step 3

    Download videos on your kid's Microsoft Xbox 360, they are relatively inexpensive and you can share the music with the next generation.

  4. Step 4

    Talk with your friends, coworker, family members and others that shared memories of Michael Jackson. Did you have a party when Thriller was released? Did you dance to his music at your high school dances? Remember Michael Jackson as he was way back when his music was new on the scene.

  5. Step 5

    Share your feelings with others about the loss of this musical icon. Regardless of how you felt about him as a person, this loss could potentially touch at least two or three generations. You will want to remember what Michael Jackson's talents contributed to this world and your own life.

  6. Step 6

    Donate money or time to your charity or church of choice. Michael Jackson was a huge philathropist, even making record breaking contributions that made the Guiness Book of World Records. Giving of time and resources will help you remember what he contributed to your life and this world.

  7. Step 7

    Gather together any Michael Jackson concert ticket stubs, photos, journal entries, autographs, recordings, posters and other memories. Then use them to create a scrapbook, memory box, collage or poster either on the Internet or in an book. Placing these memories together will help you save them in a format that you can share with your family, children and grandchildren. Creating a memory book also protects your Michael Jackson memorabilia against loss or damage.

  8. Step 8

    Buy Michael Jackson music, DVDs and downloads. This is especially important if you never got around to owning the CDs you wanted. There is no better way to remember him than listening to the music.

  9. Step 9

    Write a letter, list or informal journal entry to remember what Michael Jackson meant to you. Perhaps he inspired you to try dance, singing lessons or influenced the way you dressed.
