How to Lock My iPhone

The best way to avoid making unintended calls on your iPhone is to engage the auto-lock feature. The display goes to black, extending the battery life of the phone. By default, the auto-lock setting locks the iPhone automatically after one minute, however you can choose to auto lock after two, three, four or five minutes. Disable the feature by choosing "Never." When the iPhone is locked, you can still receive calls and text messages and listen to music. The auto-lock does not lock your iPhone from access by others. To do that, enter a passcode for the device.
