How to Change The iPhone Auto-lock Time
Locking your iPhone turns off the display on the phone to save your battery life. You can still receive phone calls and text messages. By default, all iPhones are set to auto-lock after one minute. The auto-lock can be set to turn your iPhone off in one, two, three, four or five minutes. It can also be set to never activate. The auto-lock feature is great for making sure the screen is off when not in use, but it can be a pain if it shuts off too quickly.

Turn on your iPhone and locate the "Settings" icon on the home screen. Press it to access the options inside.

Select the option labeled "General."

Tap "Auto-Lock." This prompts you to select an auto-lock time from one minute up to five minutes. There is also an option to select "Never."
