    Ivy

Poison Ivy and Sumac are very serious and painful conditions. The general treatment for poisons of this nature is treatment with antihistamines and a cream containing steroid compounds. Mainly in the summer months is when a person can catch these dreaded conditions. There is a way to protect you from ever getting these skin conditions

  2. Step 2

First, be aware of what poison ivy and sumac look like. These plants are fairly easy to identify once you know what to look for. In addition, if you do encounter something that looks like a poison plant, don’t touch any part of it. Some people make the mistake of washing the area that was exposed to a poison plant. Washing an exposed area can actually make the skin irritation spread and become worse

  3. Step 3

If you notice poison plants growing on your property, it is best to hire someone to remove it. You don’t want to take any chances. If you are camping in the summer, you can wear protective clothing over areas that would normally be exposed to the poison plants.
