An open house announcement should be written to invite the community and/or other professionals to visit your new business. The open house can benefit an agency by allowing people to meet and greet the new workers at the facility. It is also a way to informally share the vision of the company and answer any questions that people may have about the business. Scroll down to the last step if you would like to see a free sample of an open house announcement. You can adapt this letter for a school, bank, hospital, a grand opening, and practically any other type of business.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Who, When, and Where

-First, include your company’s exact address at the top of the open house letter.

-Provide the date the announcement is being typed.

-Place the name and address of the person who will be receiving this announcement in the mail.

    - Keep in mind, it look more professional when the announcement is printed with your business letterhead at the top center of your invitation.

  2. Step 2

The Contents (Body of the Letter)

-Address the individual that you are sending the letter to (example: Dear Bugs Bunny - Department of Human Services,) .

-Think about what you want to say. Then, say it in a concise manner. The open house announcement should only be a few short paragraphs.

-Don’t forget to include the date/time of the business event. Mention names and titles of professionals that will be working at the agency. Also, give a brief description of what will take place during the open house party.

-Lastly, sign your name with a salutation and include business phone number.

  3. Step 3
