How to Make Stink Bait for Catfish
Pleasant odor is never a necessary quality for bait, but plain stink can be great for catfish anglers. Some anglers swear that packing a hook with a stink bait and casting that hook in the water is enough to entice the keen smelling senses of the big cats. The catch is that bait must smell pretty bad to reach the catfish. There are all kinds of ways to make a stink bait, but a little liver is a good way to start.

- 1 lb. chicken liver
- 1 lb. beef liver
- 1 1/2 lb. shredded Limburger cheese
- 4 tbsp. garlic powder
- Blender

Place the livers in the blender first.

Add the cheese and garlic powder over the meat.

Blend all ingredients until it is a smooth consistency. If it looks too thin, add a little toilet paper or cotton. If it looks too thick, add a few drops of vegetable oil.

Place the bait in an airtight container and store it in a cool, dry place until you are ready to fish.
