How to Make Stink Bait for Catfish

Making stink bait for catfish is a great way to reel in fish after fish. Making your own catfish stink bait is rewarding when you see the amount of catfish caught.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Chicken liver
• Beef liver
• Cheese
• Garlic powder
• Blender

1. 
    

   Put a pound of chicken liver and a pound of beef liver in a blender. Chicken and beef liver can both be bought at your grocers meat market.

2. 
    

   Now add a pound and half of cheese to the blender . Any type of cheese will do but I prefer to use cheddar cheese that is already shredded. But if your not going to use shredded cheese and using a block of cheese just be sure to cut the cheese into small pieces before adding to the blender.

3. Add 4 tablespoons of garlic powder to the blender.

4. Blend all ingredients until it is a smooth consistency.

   If the stink bait is to thin add some toilet paper or cotton to the stink bait mixture and blend again until it is at your desired consistency.

6. Add some vegetable oil to the catfish stink bait if it is to thick to make it a bit thinner. Making homemade catfish stink bait is rewarding and fun especially seeing all the fish you will catch.

7. Place newly created stink bait in an airtight container and store in a cool dry place until ready to fish with or store in the freezer if you are not intending to go fishing soon.

Tips & Warnings

• Try different consistencies with the stink bait until you are happy with the way it stays on your hook.
• The stinkier you make your bait the better the catfish will like it.
• Stink bait will stain clothes
