Yu-Gi-Oh! is a fast growing card game that requires strategy, skill, and the right mix of cards to succeed against your opponents. Even the best players will find themselves behind the curve if they cannot obtain the rarer cards and are forced to play with basic monsters and spells. Finding the rarer cards requires luck, money and a shrewd eye towards a card's value.

Purchase official Konami Yu-Gi-Oh! booster packs from your favorite local gaming stores.

Open the packs and determine the rarity of each card inside. There should be a mix of commons, uncommon, and at least one rare card. You may be lucky enough to have found the rare card you are looking for, but odds are you will need to do further trading.

The uncommon and rare cards can be traded at your gaming store. Auction sites such as eBay allow you to get an idea of the value of your card for trading.

Trade the cards you found for the ones you want. Make sure you are getting a good value and not trading higher rarity for lower unless you are getting multiples in return.
