Step 1
Go to a website, such as XE.com, that maintains current euro to Canadian dollar conversion rates (See Resources).
-
Step 2
Check to see what the current conversion rate is, since this rate often changes. On the XE site, there are three flags on the left side of a conversion table: the American flag, the EU flag and the British flag. Under the EU flag, you will see "1 Euro =" followed by a a row of boxes with numbers. Trace this row over until you reach the column with the Canadian flag that is labeled "CAD." This represents the Canadian dollar. The EU row and the CAD will intersect at a single box with a number in it.
-
Step 3
Make note of the number found in the intersecting box. If the number is "2," this means that one euro is currently equal in value to two Canadian dollars.
-
Step 4
Take the number of euros you want to convert and multiply this number by the current exchange rate number to get the value in Canadian Dollars. For example, if you have two euros and the current rate is two, then you multiply two by two to get a result of four. So, your two euros would be equal to four Canadian dollars.
