Many Windows applications have a useful print feature which allows the user to select which printer to use, or whether or not to print to a file. The print to file feature can become a nuisance when the user wishes to simply click on the printer icon and use a physical printer, but the print to file feature is enabled.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open the file to be printed and click on the "Print" icon (not QuickPrint). A Print Window will open.

  2. Step 2

Locate the small box located near the middle of the Print Window that is labeled "Print to File."

  3. Step 3

Use your mouse to remove the check mark from this box by clicking on it.

  4. Step 4

Select the physical printer to which you wish the file to print.

  5. Step 5

Click the "Print" button and close the Print Window. Your print to file feature has now been disabled, and the file will print on your printer.
