How to Make Orgonite
The theoretical life energy called orgone was first postulated by Dr. Wilhelm Reich in the 1940s. Orgone energy can be both positive and negative, and orgonite can collect ambient negative orgone energy and transform it into positive orgone energy. It does this by using both organic and inorganic materials and the energy attracting properties of quartz.

1
Fill your mold about half way with the metal shavings. The mold can be anything that can stand up to the heat of the liquid resin, such as paper cups, muffin tins or drinking glasses. The metal shavings should be 1/4-inch-wide curls of aluminum, copper, bronze, iron, brass or steel.
-
2
Place a small crystal (about fingernail sized) of quartz on top of the metal shavings.
-
-
3
Pour in the hardener. This is a chemical additive to help the resin harden.
-
4
Fill the mold with the resin, a little at a time. If it's not mixing well on its own, use a stir stick to stir the mixture. Use fiberglass or epoxy resin, which you can buy at hardware or marine supply stores.
-
5
Let the mixture sit until it is completely dry. Depending on weather conditions, this could take hours or days.

Tips & Warnings
Putting down a tarp under your work area can make clean up easier.
The resin can emit toxic fumes during the hardening process; make sure you work in an open, well-ventilated area. Wear clothing you won't mind getting resin on and wear protective gloves and eye gear.
