Adobe PageMaker is a program used to create publications for print and the web. PageMaker has built-in PDF support so any publication can be quickly converted to PDF from within PageMaker and distributed electronically. PageMaker was originally released for the Macintosh in 1985. The last version Adobe released was 7.0 in 2001. Adobe has no plans to update this version, and PageMaker users are encouraged to upgrade to Adobe InDesign. Adobe PageMaker will still work, however, with Windows XP and Macintosh OS X in classic mode (OS 9).
