How to Put MP3s on a Phone

With increases in technology, cellular phone providers have offered new and varied ways to add music to cell phones. This music can be in the form of short ringtone clips, or extended MP3s and full songs for listening and sharing. Adding music to phones can be done in a variety of ways, and depending on your type of phone, can be purchased or downloaded and transferred for free.

1. Connect your phone with your computer using a USB cable, and drag and drop songs from your computer's library onto your phone's newly created desktop icon.

2. Open your email service on your computer and add a song as an attachment to an outgoing email. Enter the email address of your phone (from the list linked below) and send the email. It will arrive as a text message with a downloadable attachment.

3. Navigate to the website of your cellular provider and select a "Ringtone" link on the homepage to purchase songs directly from the site, and have them sent to your phone for around 2 to 3 dollars.

4. Access the ringtone uploading site below to browse for a song on your computer and save it to the website. The site will provide you with a URL which can be accessed from your phone, and the song will be available for download.

5. Insert a compatible memory card into your computer and save songs from your library to the memory card. Insert the card into your phone and access the song from the memory card's open folders.
