Step 1
Access the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C. Any time you enter a cheat code, you'll be typing it in this box. Most cheats will be displayed here by typing in "Help" (without the quotations).

For Money: Type in "Motherlode" for 50,000 simoleons, or "Kaching" for 1,000 simoleons.

For 2,500 extra Lifetime Happiness points, type in "shazaam".

Step 4
Type in "MoveObjects on" to be able to move objects where you would normally not being able to move them. This also allows you to pick up and move previously immovable objects, such as sims. Use "MoveObjects off" to turn this cheat off.

Step 5
Enter "constrainFloorElevation true" to be able to adjust terrain regardless if anything is in the way. Use "contrainFloorElevation false" to turn this cheat off.

Step 6
Use "disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt on" to keep objects from snapping to the grid while holding down the Alt button while in Build or Buy Mode. Use "disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt off" to turn the cheat off.

Step 7
"snapObjectsToAngle on" will force all objects to be diagonal. Use "snapObjectsToAngle off" to turn this cheat off.

Use "snapObjectsToGrid on" to force Objects to snap to the grid without having to hold down the Alt button. Use "snapObjectsToGrid off" to turn this cheat off.

Step 9
Use slowMotionViz: 0-8 to show the game in slow motion. 0 is normal speed, 8 is the highest.

Step 10
"testingCheatsenabled true" is the mother of all cheats. This cheat will allow you to drag motives up with your mouse, shift-click your sim for options such as "Set Age", or shift-click the mailbox for other options such as "Set Career", "Make All Happy", or "Make Friends For Me".
