How to prepare a tender and juicy summer roast beef.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

For those of us who are “beef” eaters, I have a spectacular summer roast beef that will melt in your mouth. There is a difference between a pot roast and a roast beef. My recipe will take a fairly cheap cut of meat and make a tender and juicy meal.

  2. Step 2

First, you will need a chuck roast or bottom round roast. In addition, the produce department of most grocery outlets does sell a turnip, carrot, and potato combo for meat recipes. You will also need a can of tomato sauce and one jar of Heinz brown gravy. In a glass pan place chuck roast, carrot, turnip vegetable combo, and the contents of the brown gravy and tomato sauce. You may want to combine the two sauces and mix together well prior to pouring over roast.

  3. Step 3

Place two pieces of tinfoil over the baking dish containing the roast and place in oven at 375 degrees for 2-3 hours. The foil will seal in the steam and tenderize the meat while it cooks. After 3 hours remove from oven, let cool for 20 minutes, slice and serve.
