Things You'll Need:
- CD's & DVD's you want to get rid of
-
Step 1
Offline places to try to sell them include independent music shops, which also usually buy games. Pawn shops will not pay much, but used book stores usually have multi media sections and I have found they will pay a little more than most.
-
Step 2
Online there are the usual Amazon and eBay options, and I have even sold CDs from my house using Craigslist. Both online and off most buyers are not interested unless your items are in excellent condition and include all booklets and inserts.
-
Step 3
With most sites you can either search for your items to find what they are willing to pay or fill out an online form to receive a quote by email. Payment options are usually by check or store credit. Some online resources include The CD Exchange, Wherehouse and Second Spin.

on 11/2/2009 This article gave me the idea to sell my used cds and dvds but I ended up going to this place called Virama in NYC. They made it super easy, I just dropped off my boxes of CDs and they paid me same day. I made enough to take my daughter to Six Flags which was a treat. It was super simple and I didnt want to spend days putting them up on ebay or craigslist and waiting to sell them one by one. Mucho time saver!
