Makeup that is useful for making your eyes pop can vary depending on your own current makeup products and the routines you would like to continue. Whether you are planning for a night out or simply looking to liven up your makeup routine, making blue eyes look bluer is possible with the right eye makeup and colors to match your own eye and hair color.

Wear browns, golds and copper colors when applying eye makeup, including eye shadow and eyeliner. Use more than one shade of the color you choose on your eyelids (such as using more than one brown to add depth to your eyes).

Use blue eyeliner when filling your eye's waterline to add depth to your eyes without overdoing the color. A dark or basic blue complements blue eyes.

Wear a bold lipstick color, such as a bright red, to make your blue eyes look even bluer (leaving your eyelids bare or nude color). Use a dark black or brown eyeliner to complete this look, leaving your eyes and lips the center of attention.

Apply copper and brown shimmer underneath your eyes, creating a thin line beneath your waterline to brighten your blue eyes.

Wear clothing that accents your eye shadow or lipstick color (when using bold colors) to help your eyes stand out. Wear blue clothing that complements your eyes, such as wearing shades darker or lighter than your eye color. Test various colors of clothing and accessories in a mirror to see which brings out your own eye color the most.

Tips

  • Avoid wearing blue clothing and accessories that match too well with your own eye color, as your eyes will get lost and blend with your outfit, rather than stand out.
