Save On Groceries Now

I think that everybody is trying to find a way to stretch their dollars these days. I would like to share with you how to save dollars on your groceries.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • pen
  • paper
  • calculator
  1. Step 1

Plan your menu for the month:Cheap Groceries

Yes! Plan your menu. Have you ever considered how much money you have spent on compulsive buying? If you plan your menu out for the month, then you can determine how much your groceries will cost you in advance.

  2. Step 2

Join one of Sam's or Costco Clubs or a great local store with discount cards: Cheap Groceries

Believe it or not! If you buy in bulk, you will save money in the long run. Your handy dandy menu will assist you in making your shopping list when you go shopping.

  3. Step 3

    Check for coupons: Cheap Groceries

Review your list and gather the coupons to take off some of the cost. You can also find coupons online. Now, I know that I asked you to join one of the food clubs, but if your local grocery store has a member card, you can actually save money at the cash register.

Tips & Warnings
  • Take a calculator with you to keep an ongoing balance of what you are spending.
  • Do not go shopping for groceries when you are hungry. You are sure to spend more than you wanted to.

on 7/29/2009 You really can save a lot by buying in bulk. I try to buy a lot of my dry goods in bulk, which can be stored without refrigeration.
