How to Glue Glass
The look you can get from gluing glass to glass is absolutely astounding. Of course, you may have a practical reason for gluing glass, which would involve gluing glass to metal. Whatever your reason, there are glues and adhesives that will help you glue glass so that it stays put! Does this Spark an idea?

Before you glue glass, make sure that the surface of the glass is squeaky clean.

If possible, rough up the part of the glass that you are going to glue first. A glass sander can do that very nicely. The scratches will help the bond become stronger.

Next, find the appropriate adhesive for gluing glass to glass. One recommended adhesive is Kitchen Goop, as it is easy to find and forms a strong bond. A more difficult adhesive to locate, but one that forms a very strong bond, is Loctite Impruv.

If you are gluing glass to other materials, such as wood, there are adhesives especially for this purpose. For glass to wood, try using General Electric Silicone II. For glass to metal, try using a two part metal epoxy. For glass to plastic, once again Household Goop can save the day!

Tips & Warnings
Always allow adhesives sufficient time to cure (listed on the packaging) before using the object.
Adhesives cure best in an environment that is low-humidity.
Always wear eye protection when working with glass.
Wear gloves on your hands when working with strong glues and adhesives.
Work in a well-ventilated area.
Consider wearing a mask, especially if you are sanding glass.
Do not eat or drink out of glassware that has repaired using glue.
