Downloading songs onto your iPod touch is simple and easy. It is the exact same process as for a regular iPod as far as putting songs on goes. A few songs may take only a few seconds, and if you have a couple hundred at once it may take a few minutes. (Depending on your computer's speed as well.)

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Add music to your iTunes Library. If you have a CD, just put it in the computer and open up iTunes. The CD should appear right on iTunes, and either it will start downloading automatically or you will simply have to hit the download button. Or you can purchase music from the iTunes store.

  2. Step 2

Hook your iPod Touch up to the computer using the USB cord. It may take a few seconds for your computer to recognize it and for it to appear on iTunes.

  3. Step 3

Apple will ask you to register your iPod Touch and it's up to you whether you want to or not, but afterward your iPod Touch profile will appear. You can either check a box for everything from your library to automatically be added or if you want to just manually click and drag songs, playlists, or albums.

  4. Step 4

Once your iPod is done syncing you can hit the disconnect button and unplug the Touch.
