Use a Hair Dryer Properly
Use a Hair Dryer Properly

Many of us blow dry our hair everyday, but not everyone does it properly. Here is a guide to using your hair dryer properly saving you time and keeping your hair and hair dryer from becoming damaged.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • hair dryer
  1. Step 1

First you want to have your hair damp, not wet. Squeeze the excess water out with a towel (do not rub or you could damage hair)or wrap in a towel and get dressed or put on your make-up something that takes enough time to let the towel soak up most of the water about 10 minutes for most hair.

  2. Step 2

If you use a leave in conditioner, anti frizz serum or smoothing crème apply it now from the ends of hair working your way up to the roots. Starting in the back aim the hair dyer down at the thickest part of your hair, holding the hair dryer 8-10 inches away from your hair and on the high setting. Move the dryer around staying away from the roots for a few minutes until almost dry.

  3. Step 3

Switch to the warm or air setting and dry from the roots to the ends about 4- 6 inches away from hair, styling as you go until hair is completely dry and styled how you want it. If you use hair spray to hold the style spray it on now.
