Things You'll Need:
- Garbage bags (plenty)
-
Step 1
Throw away all unnecessary junk such as old school papers, old letters, birthday cards, raggedy clothes and anything else that you know you really don't need. I know birthday cards and old love letters are things to cherish so if you do not want to throw those away, you should find a creative way to keep them with out them being a pain such as making a scrap book or something like that.
-
Step 2
Have a lot of books? Well, use your top shelf as a bookshelf and reorganized those books. If you have books that you know you are never going to pick up again, give them to the library or donate them to illiteracy programs for those who need books.
-
Step 3
Give away clothes that you don't wear any more that are in good shape. There are a lot of places you can go to donate your old clothes such as the Salvation Army, thrift stores and other charities that will give clothes to the needy for free. So, be a cheerful giver and give those clothes away instead of throwing them away and this rule is the same for stuff animals.
-
Step 4
Have a designated place for everything by buying storage bags and boxes for clothes that are seasonal, underwear, books, CDS, letters, and much more to keep your closet organized. If it is not winter, do not hang up clothes for that season. Only hang up clothes that are for the season you are in and that will keep your clothes less congested.
