If you've ever signed up for a revenue share site where you've had to submit your own Google Adsense ID then you know the frustration that can come wondering when and if your ads are ever shown. This method won't show you how often they are shown but it will give you a means to verify that your ads do get shown on the revenue share site.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Go to your Google.com account and find your publisher ID. You will need to know your Adsense id number in order to identify if the ads being displayed are yours or the revenue share sites.

  2. Step 2

    Next, either open a new window or tab and go to the revenue sharing site where you have published content.

  3. Step 3

    Click on one of your published articles or other shared content on the revenue share site to open it up.

  4. Step 4

    Go to the top of your browser and locate the tab that says "View". Now click on that tab and scroll down and click on "View source" or "Page Source".

    This should open up a new window with a lot of technical information for the content you are viewing and it's page set up.

  5. Step 5

    Scroll down until you find a section that looks similar to the following (Note the **'s will be replaced with actual numbers):
    google_ad_client = "pub-****************"
    google_ad_width = ***;
    google_ad_height = ***;
    google_ad_format = "***x***_as";
    google_ad_type = "text"; etc etc etc.

  6. Step 6

    Now compare the first line that says "google_ad_client = "pub-****************" with your own Adsense Publisher's ID. If the numbers match up then your ads are currently being shown on the content that you submitted to the revenue share site.

    If the ID does not match yours come back later and check again and keep checking as the system designed to place ads under each ID is generally automated.
