Windows Mobile users enjoy the benefits of a Windows-based operating platform on their PDAs, phones, and other mobile devices. Those who use Microsoft Outlook as contact management software can use the ActiveSync program to synchronize Outlook between their mobile device and desktop PC. With just a few easy steps, you can export your contacts from Windows Mobile to your desktop.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Connect your Windows Mobile device to your desktop PC by using a USB cable or docking cradle.

  2. Step 2

Open the ActiveSync program on your desktop. The Microsoft ActiveSync window will open.

  3. Step 3

Select "Tools" from the list of options at the top of the Microsoft ActiveSync window. Then select "Options". The Settings window will open.

  4. Step 4

Click on the "Settings" button in the Settings window. The Desktop Computer Settings window will appear. Check the box next to "Contacts".

  5. Step 5

Click on the drop down menu labeled "If there is a conflict" and select "Replace Item on Desktop". Click "OK" and you are finished. Active Sync will now synchronize your contacts and export the mobile contacts to your desktop contacts in Outlook.
