Use Benzocaine to Relieve Pain

Purchase a product containing Benzocaine. Benzocaine is an over-the-counter medication that can be found in brand name products such as Anbesol, Cepacol, Dermoplast, Hurricaine, Orajel and Vagisil Feminine Cream.

Use the Benzocaine according to the product's instructions. A thin layer of topical Benzocaine cream shoud be applied to the skin of the irritated area up to four times a day. Do not use more Benzocaine than instructed.

Do not use Benzocaine over large areas of the skin. Do not use Benzocaine with a bandage unless suggested by a doctor.

Use Benzocaine for hemorrhoids by washing the area first with soap and water. Apply Benzocaine up to six times a day.

Wash your hands after applying Benzocaine. Consult a doctor if you see side effects or if symptoms do not improve within seven days.
