Neato is a labeling system that enables you to create professional looking labels for your CD-Rs. The system also enables you to create inserts for CD and DVD jewel cases. The system comes with software that has built in templates, making it easy to customize your labels and inserts.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • MediaFace software labels printer Neato applicator
  1. Step 1

Install MediaFace on your computer. Select "Full Set up," and "letter paper" from the options for install and open the Calibration program from Start/Media Face. Run the Calibration program to calibrate your printer.

  2. Step 2

Open the MediaFace design wizard and select the project template type.

  3. Step 3

Click "File," then select the image that you want to put on the label, then click Insert image. Click fit to label to have the image sized properly for the label. You can also use the Color fill tab to insert solid colors, instead of an image from your file library.

  4. Step 4

Create a text box by clicking "Advanced Mode," then "T" from the toolbar at the top left. Create your text in the text box by writing the text you want to appear on the label. Highlight the text with your mouse to be able to select different fonts and colors for the text. Apply text effects by clicking the "Text Effects" tab and choosing one of the effects.

  5. Step 5

Save your created file to your computer. Insert a label template label in your printer, and print the label off. Remove the label for your CD from the printed sheet, and put it on the applicator sticky-side up. Put the CD on the applicator with the top facing down, then press down on the applicator to apply the label to the CD.
