Four Ball Juggling
Four Ball Juggling

Juggling four balls is an impressive-looking feat that never fails to amuse and excite. While a great deal of practice will be necessary to ingrain the motions into muscle memory, the actual technique of juggling four balls is relatively simple. With enough focus (and chasing after dropped balls), you'll gain the admiration of friends and passersby. There is more than one way to juggle four balls--this tutorial will show you the easiest way.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Four balls

    Instructions

  1. Step 1

Take two balls in your dominant hand. Raise your hand up to your lower-/mid-chest with the balls side by side. Make sure your hand is palm up.

  2. Step 2

Throw the ball closer to your center upward and with a slight arc. When the ball comes down, catch it with the same hand your threw it with.

  3. Step 3

When you catch the first ball, throw the other ball just as you threw the first one, upward and from your center outward. Practice with your dominant hand until you can easily juggle the two balls.

  4. Step 4

Take the other two balls with your non-dominant hand and practice juggling in the same way as you did with your dominant hand. One ball should be thrown upward with an arc from the center of your body outward, and when it is caught, the other should be thrown in the same way. Practice until the two-ball juggling becomes effortless with your non-dominant hand.

  5. Step 5

When either hand can easily juggle two balls, simple juggle two balls with each hand at the same time. Four balls are now being juggled, even though each hand only works with two balls. Practice with both hands juggling until you are juggling four balls.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that the balls are moving in circles that start from your center and move outward. Each hand should only deal with two specific balls during the entire juggling process. If balls are moving from hand to hand, re-read the instructions. Practice until your hands move automatically.
  • Be sure fragile objects are put away before practice.
