How to Clean a Squeegee

Squeegees are not just for the gas station and professional window washers. It is becoming a regular household cleaning tool. It works well to clean shower doors, mirrors, windows and tiled surfaces. Using a squeegee saves time and is quite effective in getting the cleaning job done. Caring for your squeegee is important, especially so it does not rot or so that mildew does not begin to grow. Consider taking a minute to wash your squeegee after every use.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Water Dish Soap Rag Nylon Brush or Toothbrush
  1. Step 1

    Wash your squeegee in warm soapy water. Under your sink with tap water and dish soap will suffice.

  2. Step 2

    Use a rag to clean the rubber of your squeegee. Clean both sides of the rubber. If there is caked on dirt, you can use a nylon scrub brush or toothbrush to scrub it away.

  3. Step 3

    Rinse well and allow your squeegee to air or towel dry completely before storing it again.
