How to Remove an Anti-Aliasing Filter

Anti-aliasing is a technology that improves the visual appearance of text in a graphics file. Graphics editing software applications such as Adobe Photoshop allow the user to choose from different types of anti-aliasing that can be applied to text, such as sharp, crisp, smooth and strong anti-aliasing. However, if you no longer want to keep the anti-aliasing that you have applied to text, you can remove the anti-aliasing filter in the Text toolbar in Adobe Photoshop.

      Open the file that has the text for which you want to remove the anti-aliasing in Photoshop.

      Click the "Windows" link in the Photoshop menu bar, then check the "Layers" item in the drop-down menu to open the Layers window if it is not already open.

      Click to select the layer containing the text for which you want to remove the anti-aliasing in the "Layers" window.

      Click the "Windows" link in the Photoshop menu bar, then check the "Options" item in the drop-down menu to open the Options toolbar if it is not already open.

      Click the drop-down menu next to the "Anti-aliasing Method" icon in the Options toolbar. Select "None" in the drop-down menu to remove the anti-aliasing from your text and complete the process.
