How to Ask Someone For Forgiveness
Most people have done things in their lives to make them feel ashamed. You may have hurt someone whether it was intentional or not. The best thing you can do is to ask that person for forgiveness. Even if you are not able to continue the relationship, you will allow the opportunity for healing if you at least make the effort to show you care by asking someone you hurt for forgiveness.

1
Write down the reasons you need to ask for forgiveness. Be detailed in your notes. Also write down why you feel sorry and why you feel the need to have this person forgive you.
-
2
Take responsibility for the fact that you hurt this person. Even if he has hurt you, your focus should be on making amends to him for what you did.
-
-
3
Contact the person you'd like forgiveness from. Talk to him about the situation and tell him how you feel about what happened. You may find it hard to speak the words you need to say, but just be honest and express your regret.
-
4
If you simply cannot get the words out, write the person a letter explaining that you are very sorry and that you would like to be forgiven. Deliver this letter in person if you feel it's appropriate.
-
5
Accept that you might not get a response. Remember to do this for yourself so you can move forward. Any positive response will just be a bonus. Don't stress over it. You did your part in asking for forgiveness. Perhaps later in life that person will have a change of heart.
