Things You'll Need:
- 3 chicken breasts Nonstick low-fat or fat-free cooking spray Flour tortillas Seasonings to taste Sides such as tomatoes, chilies or any other condiment you choose
-
Step 1
Heat the oven to 425 F. Wash the chicken breasts and cut away fat and skin--this is where so much fat and cholesterol hides.
-
Step 2
Spray two cookie sheets with the cooking spray. Make sure to cover the sides as well as the bottom to ensure no sticking of the chicken or the tortillas.
-
Step 3
Place the tortillas on the cookie sheets, laying them flat out, and put the cookie sheets in the oven. Cook for 5 minutes and let cool.
-
Step 4
Cut the chicken into strips and place onto additional cookie sheets that have been sprayed with cooking spray. You may season with any seasonings you choose, such as chili powder or tamarind. Place the chicken in the oven for a total of 45 minutes, flipping the pieces at about 22 minutes. Make sure that the centers of the chicken strips are no longer pink before removing them from the oven.
-
Step 5
Place the chicken strips onto the tortillas and then add sides such as the tomatoes or chilies and serve.
