How to Clean Grease from Kitchen Walls
It's an unfortunate and unavoidable part of cooking with grease--grease splatters. Grease has a tendency to not stay in the pot or pan; it usually lands on nearby walls and appliances. This greasy build up isn't even noticeable until it dries and then it's a sticky mess that doesn't go away when you try to wipe it off. Grease is resilient and it requires a little ingenuity to make it a very simple fix. Does this Spark an idea?

Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray the area with the solution and allow it to sit for at least five minutes before wiping it away with a clean cloth.

Heat vinegar in the microwave until it is hot. Dip a clean cloth into the hot vinegar and wipe the grease off of the walls with it.

Dampen a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and scrub until the grease is gone.

Mix baking soda and water into a paste and apply it to the walls with a clean cloth. Scrub the paste over the area until all of the grease is gone. "Rinse" the area with a clean damp cloth to pick up any residual.

Mix together equal parts lime juice and club soda. Soak a clean cloth in the mixture and wipe the walls clean with it.

Tips & Warnings
Grease cutting dish soaps also work well on greasy walls. Other commercial products that may help are Simple Green and Orange Glo.
