How to Clean Shower Screens

Glass and plastic shower screens can't be replaced like curtains so upkeep is especially important. Soap scum, mineral and hard water deposits and mildew can permanently stain the screen. Cleaning shower screens as part of your weekly housekeeping routine will keep them looking new for years to come. Once the original build-up is cleaned off, weekly cleaning will be quick and easy. Instructions

      Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and spray the screen down. Allow the vinegar to sit on the screen for 5 minutes. Wipe the door down with a clean towel, scrubbing lightly. Spray and wipe down again if necessary.

      Squeeze cheap toothpaste onto a sponge. Scrub stubborn build-up on the screen with the toothpaste. Rinse the toothpaste from the screen with cool water.

      Wipe the screen with a towel dampened with vinegar. Dry thoroughly with a clean towel.

Tips & Warnings

  • Wipe the screen dry after every use to avoid mineral and soap build-up.

  • Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch your screen.
