How to Get MSN on Mobile Phones

MSN, Microsoft's popular news portal is accessible by browser. However, MSN Mobile, the mobile service provided by MSN, may be accessed via a mobile service URL with a mobile device. MSN Mobile will allow the user to check mail, get sports, weather and news on a cell phone or PDA.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Mobile device with internet access
  1. Step 1

    Open a browser on the mobile device. To open the browser, navigate to the browser application on the phone. If you phone is configured with an icon for the browser on default display, click the icon. If the phone is not configured with an icon shortcut, follow the instructions for your cell phone to open the phone's browser. This procedure will differ with every phone.

  2. Step 2

    Enter the MSN Mobile URL (mobile.msn.com) NOTE: If you access this URL from a computer browser, you are redirected to the Mobile MSN instruction page.

  3. Step 3

    Answer any prompts to set localization and personalization. To do this, enter your location. First, enter your country. Then enter state or zip code. This will localize the content to your area. To personalize the application, enter any personal information you would like to store such as name, company, and address.

  4. Step 4

    Bookmark the MSN Mobile site for future access.

  5. Step 5

    Visit the MSN Mobile information site to have a text message with the MSN Mobile URL sent to your mobile device. (See Resources)
